Today morning after breakfast proceed to visit Sivasagar, the one-time capital of the Kings of Assam, who ruled Assam for nearly 700 years between the 12th century and early 19th century. Today after breakfast we will proceed to Majuli island. En route we will reach Nimati Ghat and take a Ferry to Majuli. After approximately one and half hours of sailing we will arrive at Majuli Island (Majuli has been the cultural capital and the cradle of Assamese civilization for the past five hundred years. Although the origin of Majuli may be uncertain, it is known for a fact that the social reformer Sankardeva visited the island in the early sixteenth century. Sankardeva propagated a form of Vaishnavism that was simpler and more accessible than the ritualistic Hinduism of the time. His approach was rooted in faith and prayer, and stressed on the cultural aspects of life and living. There was no idol worship or sacrifices - instead, he developed the dance-drama forms of the bhawna and ankiya-nat, an theatrical depictions of the triumph of good over evil, using as material, the Bhagawat, which he himself had written). Explore Kaziranga’s central range on morning and afternoon jeep safaris. You are likely to see herds of Indian elephants and one-horned rhinos in close proximity. Optional evening visit to the Kaziranga Biodiversity Centre, which aims to conserve local varieties of orchids and to spread local cultural awareness. Overnight at Hotel.
Today early morning proceed to discover the wildlife of Kaziranga by jeep or elephant-back. The park contains about 15 species of India's threatened mammals and harbours the world's largest population of Indian Rhinoceros and Indian Elephant, Wild Asian Water Buffalo, Eastern Swamp Deer, Capped Langur, Golden Langur, Hoolock Gibbon (the only ape found in India). Upon reaching check-in to your hotel and refresh yourself to explore the ruins of the sixth century Da Parbatia temple, which has exquisite carvings. Today after breakfast and check out from hotel later drive to Manas National Park, Bordering Bhutan and formed by the watershed of the Manas, Hakua and the Beki rivers, the Manas National Park is the only Tiger Reserve in Assam. It has a wealth of wildlife and is picturesque. Twenty species of birds including the rare Bengal florican and animals that figure in the highly endangered list of IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources). Migratory birds come here during winter and fly back at the onset of summer. Along the river banks one can spot water birds such as mergansers, Brahminy ducks and egrets. The park covers an area of 2,840 km, but its core area is 360 km. You might just catch sight of the golden langur, the Asiatic buffalo, wild bison, wild dog, otter and civet. The park has eastern Himalayan moist mixed deciduous forests. The eastern alluvial grassland also covers a major portion of the park. These grassland are grazing grounds for many herbivores. Later back to your hotel for breakfast and refresh yourself to proceed a Jeep Safari will take to some of the remote areas of the park. Spot the One-horned Rhinos, Asian Elephants, Indian Tigers, Leopards, Golden Langur and some of the other rare and endangered animals during this safari. Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare and Wild Water Buffalo are some of the indigenous species of this park that are on extinction. Also capture some amazing wildlife pictures. Overnight at Hotel.

After your visit drive to the bank of River Brahmaputra to take your boat to the Peacock Island (The smallest inhabited island in the world and one of the three islands, off the Guwahati Shore).Upon arrival visit the Shiva Temple. Then proceed to Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, commonly Kalakshetra is a cultural institution in the Panjabari area of Guwahati, Assam, named after the medieval poet-playwright and reformer Srimanta Sankardev.
